The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Government polytechnic College, Chelakkara was established in the academic year 2014, offering three-year diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. The annual intake is 63 students. The academic focus of the department is to provide quality technical education to the students. Conceptual understanding supported with experimental knowledge moulds our students competent enough to face the technical challenges of our nation and worlwide. The faculty of Mechanical Engineering are well qualified and hardworking. With in short span of five years, it emerged as the best in Kerala state; both in terms of academic ranking and direct campus palcements.
